Tangible Ireland – Summer School 2016
For the 7th year in a row Tangible Ireland convened its annual Ambassador Summer School in County Limerick. The Ballyhoura region provides a relaxed environment as business and civic leaders share their vision and participate in rigorous discussion about issues pertaining to progression towards a better world. Identifying and cultivating Tangible Leaders across all sectors of society is the core ambition of the Ambassador Summer School.
The focus this year was:
- Developing skills and competence to deliver meaningful change
- Attracting and introducing like-minded leaders from Ireland and the Diaspora
- Using those relationships to increase the efficacy of our collective efforts
Having started in the Ballyhoura Forest Holiday Homes the school has migrated to the wonderful Deebert House Hotel in Kilmallock. This year’s gathering covered topics around leadership and excellence focusing on Education, Health & Well being, Technology Start-Ups and challenges facing the Environment.
On Wednesday afternoon there was a special Tangible Session at Friars Gate Theatre with the assistance of Caoimhe Reidy, Theatre Manager. This session focused on excellence and included presentations by Dr.Anthony McCann on the concept of Garaiocht, Carol Conway on the Internet of Life, Eoin Barry on Accountability and Delivering Excellence and finally an objective review of social and economic progress in Ireland by Eve Earley of Empowering Change.
Next year – Number 8 – already in the planning!
